Male Erionota thrax thrax.
The uniformly broad HW band distinguished this from E. hiraca.
From E. torus, note straight termen; spot 2 with rounded outer margin ; FW apex upperside white-edged.
ID Correction
This is correctly Erionota hiraca.
This means the underside HW band may occassionally be broad.
Differences from E. thrax.
1. Antennal club wholly white above (partly in thrax.)
2. Upperside FW apex white ( only edge of termen whitened in thrax.)
3. Underside FW apex whitish.( only top half of underside FW apex white in thrax.)
4. Underside HW band with irregular dark margins (fairly regular in thrax.)

Macroglossum variegatum.
Several somewhat similar spp. eg. M. ungues but locality against it.
