wah got snake :what:

the staff from sentosa butterfly park told me tt they release small snakes at the park to reduce the population of the lizards .. not sure these AH snakes are released for same purpose

err.. this reminder is probably more applicable for Sime Forest and non-urban park. The "nearest" location that I spotted the OWS was in Kent Ridge -- which is about 1km away from AHBT. ;P

A bite from the notorious Malayan Blue Coral could lead to fatality within 6 minutes -- there is no way to reach assistance in Sime Forest within 6 minutes.

However, Malayan Blue Coral tended to shy away from human. so the chance of encounter is lower. But, Banded Malayan Blue Coral may not behave similarly.

Some cobras were seen in SBG at the primary forest trail. In fact, some time ago, an NPSS member shot it in action, eating a frog.

I saw this snake in Sime Forest, probably more than 1 year ago.

Here are the 3 shots of that cobra shot at SBG. Can't remember who the photographer was, but it was posted at NPSS a long time ago. All credits to him.

So please becareful when you go to SBG, even in its rather "urban" location. I suppose snakes can appear anywhere.
